Christian Head Covering

Hello dear sisters today I wanted to share with you why I choose to wear a head covering as a Christian women, the main reasons behind why I cover are these:
  •  modesty, I don't want to flaunt my "glory" to the world
  •  I am showing honor to the headship order
  •  It's easier to have my head covered at all times rather than running to get a head covering whenever I feel the need to pray.
1 Corinthians 11:1-34

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Now I commend you because you remember me in everything

and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you. But I want you to understand that the

head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.

Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, but every wife who

prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head

were shaven. ...

The original word for the head covering of a Christian (written in the New Testament) -Katakalupto-does not just mean hair it literally means a draping garment that goes downwards from the head. The head covering for me symbolism's:
  • Total submission to the Lord
  • Respect for my husband (future husband I should say)
  • Elimination on vanity
I hope this article has blessed you in some way and I strongly encourage you all to research further into Christian and head coverings. Please let me know what your opinions on the matter are. God bless!

Bible Verse OTD: Marriage

1 Corinthians 7:1-40

Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: “It is good for a man not to have sexual

relations with a woman.” But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should

have his own wife and each woman her own husband. The husband should give to his wife her

conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over

her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own

body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another, except perhaps by agreement for a limited

time, that you may devote yourselves to prayer; but then come together again, so that Satan

may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. ...

Are High Heels Modest?

Hello sister! I wanted to share with you all why I find high heels to be so immodest. I have fought with this idea for quit some time and have finally come to these conclusions:

1. Heels aren't healthy for you to wear: High heels are extremely bad for your feet, they bend your feet into a form that isn't natural to how God designed your feet. I have researched this and here is a small part of an article I found:

  • The Bunion: This is a bony prominence on the inside of the foot at the big toe joint and looks like a knob. A bunion forms when the big toe is pushed towards the second toe. A bunion is not the overgrowth of bone, rather the subluxation of the big toe joint over time. When surgery is indicated, it typically involves the breaking and resetting the dislocated bone with a screw(s). The surgeries involves six to eight weeks of recovery.

  • A Hammer Toe: This is a condition where a toe becomes buckled or crooked. Thick calluses may form on pressure spots. A common surgery, when indicated, involves removing the knuckle of the deformed toe. A wire holding the toe steady protrudes from the tip of the toe for several weeks.

  • Tight Calf Muscle (Equinus): Long term use of high heels are thought to cause shortening of the Achilles Tendon, resulting in more pressure being placed on the ball of the foot. Many foot surgeons consider this an underlying cause of several foot problems such as bunions, hammer toes, flat feet and others. Stretching may help counteract the problem. When surgeons believe this problem is pathologic, they may recommend lengthening of the Achilles tendon or cutting a muscle in the calf.

  • 2. Heel's are immodest because:
The angle the lower calf muscle into a pointed "sexy" look. Heels are a symbol of "sexy" in today's culture, more times than not in a magazine or poster the women in heels also have short skirts or tight pants. They were designed to go with these revealing outfits, to give women more height and and angled sexy leg. Not only that but heel's push your leg in such an angle that your rear end sticks out more. I personally would find it impossible to wear modest plain clothing and then throw on a pair of stilettos and still feel like I'm dressing to please the Lord. Heel's not only angle the leg but they also bring unnecessary attention to one self, which I also consider immodest. When people see you all the attention should go to God. They should look at you and know that you are dressed to please your Creator and not this world.

    Matthew 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with

    her in his heart.

    Romans 14:21

It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

These are my two main reasons behind why I don't wear heels I hope you all got something out of this! God bless sisters!

    Perfect Homemaker Recipe: Lasagna

    Ingredients
    Bolognese Sauce
    3 pound(s) fresh ricotta cheese
    3 large egg yolks
    1 cup(s) grated Parmesan cheese
    1 1/2 teaspoon(s) coarse salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) freshly ground black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg
    pinch(s) ground cayenne pepper
    2 tablespoon(s) extra-virgin olive oil
    1 tablespoon(s) coarse salt
    1 pound(s) uncooked lasagna noodles
1 pound(s) fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced into 1/4-inch rounds

    Directions
    1. Bring sauce to room temperature. In a large bowl, whisk together ricotta, egg yolks, Parmesan, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, black pepper, nutmeg, and cayenne pepper. Chill filling until ready to assemble lasagna.
    2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Butter an 11-by-14-by-3-inch lasagna baking pan. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add olive oil and remaining tablespoon of salt. One at a time, add lasagna noodles; cook until very al dente, 2 to 3 minutes less than the manufacturer's instructions. Remove noodles with tongs; drain in a colander.
    3. Spread about 3 cups of sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Place a single layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce, overlapping them slightly. Spread about 2 cups sauce over the noodles and about half the ricotta filling mixture over the sauce.
    4. Top with a layer of lasagna noodles, again slightly overlapping them. Repeat with more sauce and remaining ricotta filling mixture. Top with a final layer of lasagna noodles. Spread a layer of sauce over the noodles, and finish with a layer of sliced mozzarella rounds.
    5. Bake until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted, at least 1 hour. Cover with aluminum foil if the cheese starts to brown too early. Let the lasagna stand 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

    Acts 2:38-39

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for

the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The

promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord

    our God will call."

Jesus Loves Sinners: All of us!

1st John 4:19 "We love him, because He first loved us."

Romans 8:37-39 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1st John 4:9-12 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.

"Jesus, Friend Of Sinners" Casting Crowns

Jesus, friend of sinners, we have strayed so far away
We cut down people in your name but the sword was never ours to swing
Jesus, friend of sinners, the truth's become so hard to see
The world is on their way to You but they're tripping over me
Always looking around but never looking up I'm so double minded
A plank eyed saint with dirty hands and a heart divided

    Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to the world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

    Yeah...

Jesus, friend of sinners, the one who's writing in the sand
Made the righteous turn away and the stones fall from their hands
Help us to remember we are all the least of these
Let the memory of Your mercy bring Your people to their knees
Nobody knows what we're for only what we're against when we judge the wounded
What if we put down our signs crossed over the lines and loved like You did

    Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks yours

You love every lost cause; you reach for the outcast
For the leper and the lame; they're the reason that You came
Lord I was that lost cause and I was the outcast
But you died for sinners just like me, a grateful leper at Your feet

'Cause You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever
You are good, You are good and Your love endures forever

    Oh Jesus, friend of sinners
Open our eyes to world at the end of our pointing fingers
Let our hearts be led by mercy
Help us reach with open hearts and open doors
Oh Jesus, friend of sinners, break our hearts for what breaks Yours

And I was the lost cause and I was the outcast
    Yeah...
You died for sinners just like me, a grateful leper at Your feet

    Perfect Homemaker Recipe: Cinnamon rolls

Hello Sisters! Here's one of my favorite sweets, homemade cinnamon rolls! I hope you enjoy the recipe!
    Ingredients:
    4 1/4 to 4 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    6 tbsp. butter, softened
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 recipe Maple Nut Glaze or Powdered Sugar Glaze

    Directions:
Step 1: In a large mixer bowl combine 1 1/2 cups of the all-purpose flour and yeast. Heat the milk, granulated sugar, the 1/4 cup butter and salt just until mixture is warm (120 to 130 degrees) and the butter is almost melted, stirring constantly.Step 2: Add milk mixture to flour mixture; add eggs. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds; scrape sides of bowl constantly. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes. Using a spoon, stir in as much of the remaining flour as you can. (Dough will be soft.) Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately soft dough (3 to 5 minutes total). Shape dough into a ball.
Step 3: Place dough in a lightly greased bowl; turn once. Cover; let rise in a warm place until double (about 1 to 1 1/2 hours). (The dough is ready for shaping when you can lightly and quickly press two fingers 1/2 inch into dough and indentation remains.)
Step 4: Punch dough down. On a lightly floured surface, divide dough in half; shape each half into a smooth ball. Cover; let rest for 10 minutes.
Step 5: On lightly floured surface roll half the dough to 12x8 inches. Spread with 3 tablespoons softened butter. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle half over rectangle. Roll up from a short side. Seal edges. Make a second roll with remaining dough, butter and sugar mixture.
Step 6: Slice each dough roll into 8 pieces. Arrange slices, cut side down, in a greased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Cover; let rise until nearly double (about 30 minutes).
Step 7: Bake rolls in a 350 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until light brown. Invert at once onto a wire rack. Cool slightly. Drizzle rolls with Maple Nut Glaze or Powdered Sugar Glaze. Serve warm.
    Makes 16 rolls.

Stop Worrying About What People Think!

    Galatians 1:10
10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of  God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
