Do Not Be Conformed To The World

Modesty is NOT about "not drawing attention to yourself", if this was the case then Christians should be walking around half naked like the rest of the world. Part of modesty is about NOT drawing attention to yourself for ungodly reasons. If someone is starring at you because you are dressed half naked, wearing gaudy or flashy clothing THIS goes against the Word of God. If someone is starring at you because you are dressed plainly and modestly then you ARE still following the Word of God by being set apart and not being conformed to the world. We are to be set apart we are NOT to look like the world, let us look the Christians NOT the World. WE should seek to follow the Word of God not worry about looking different or standing out. Stand out for Christ and ignore the people who stare and mock, they are not your leader. God is.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Bible Verse OTD: Forgiveness

Galatians 6:1-2 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. (attitude: approach gently and stand ready to restore the relationship)

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.(attitude: loving and forgiving just like God forgave you)

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”
― C.S. Lewis

“Man has two great spiritual needs. One is for forgiveness. The other is for goodness.”  ~ Billy Graham

“Forgiveness is not an occasional act, it is a constant attitude.”
― Martin Luther King Jr.

Pray For Oklahoma

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who

goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Psalm 34:17-20

When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The

Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the

righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is

broken.

Psalm 107:29

He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.

Should Christians Get Tattoos?

Tattoos should be considered un-biblical  for many reasons. (Leviticus 19:28 )

1. They are almost always a form of decoration for oneself in a vain and boastful manner.

(1 Timothy 2:9)

 2. They are a waste of money that could  be better spent to care of family or for the needy and

poor. (Luke 12:21)

3. Tattoos should be regarded as a type of "graven image" in violation of God's commands.
(Exodus 20:4)

4. Tattoos expose a person to needless medical risk.
(1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

5. You are marking a body that is not your own  (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

This is an amazing video and I think all Christians considering getting tattoos should view it.

God Doesn't Care What You Wear

Hello dear sisters, today I wanted to talk about a common misconception about modesty in the Bible. That is that God doesn't care how we dress and that He looks at the heart.

1 Samuel 16:7

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature,

because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward

appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

This is completely correct, GOD doesn't look at your clothing, but MAN does! When we get dressed in the morning we don't dress modestly so that God will not stumble, we dress modestly to help our brothers in Christ not stumble! (1 Corinthians 8:13). The Bible commands modesty, not for God for He is almighty, all knowing and cannot stumble, but  for His people. wanted to make a quick point of this. God bless!
