I'm Not Comfortable!

Hello dear sisters! Today I wanted to share with you one of the most common excuses regarding why women don't dress modestly "I'm not comfortable". I have heard this over and over, how women aren't comfortable in a skirt or with their shirts rubbing up against their collar bones ect. ect. Let me ask you something dear sisters, was Christ comfortable getting beaten? Was Christ comfortable on the cross? I don't think so, we CAN follow His word whether were afraid of not fitting in or just don't like modest skirts. Now I'm not saying we should intentionally purchase clothing that makes us uncomfortable, and there are many ways to make modest clothing more comfortable (I'll get to that). But our main focus when dressing is:

Is this modest? 1 Timothy 2:9  Likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable
apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,

How does this reflect on the Lord? Romans 6:1-3  What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

Will this cause my brothers in Christ to stumble?   1 Corinthians 8:9  But take care that this right of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak. Matthew 5:28  But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Am I dressed in a flashy attention grabbing style? 1 Timothy 2:10 and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.

Our lives as Christian women should be about doing everything we can for the Lord, He gave his own life for us!

There are ways to make modest clothing more comfortable:
1. Wear leggings, bloomers, panty-hose whatever helps keeps your legs from rubbing together.
2. Wear softer materials.
3. Make sure your clothing is loose enough (tight clothing has allows been uncomfortable for me)

So sisters let us remember that in this life we are to strive to do God's will, it may not always be comfortable it may not always be fun, it may not always be what our flesh wants us to do, but in the end it IS what God wants us to do. God bless dear sisters!
